Our Curriculum
The Ghana Education Service (G.E.S) curriculum is used as the framework for teaching. Practical and theoretical methods are adopted to ensure children develop their intellectual skills. Work at all levels is designed to meet the age, aptitude and ability of the child. The School runs on a two-stream basis
Levels
We have four levels in the school namely Pre-School, Lower Primary, Upper Primary and Junior High School. Each level is managed by a level Coordinator who oversees academics and programmes held by the level group. The Coordinators are supported by Class teachers of each level to mould the children into academic and social elites.
Pre School
Our Pre-school level commences from Nursery 1 and welcomes children of 2yrs. From this level the children are weaned from their parent’s nest into the pram. With the motherly care and love shown in the pre-school, the children soon forget the pain of leaving their parents and embrace the new environment with joy.
Children are taken through identification of objects, alphabets, numbering, tearing arts etc. This phase is vital as it lays the foundation for the physical and intellectual development of the child
Lower Primary
Children on this level start becoming independent and at this stage express themselves clearly enough. They become more active and their attitudes and habits begin to shape up. Teachers on this level assist the children and ensure that they develop a sound and morally acceptable behavior.
Children at this stage are introduced to the basics of the subjects to be learned from the Upper Primary all in the bid to boost their confidence and ensure critical thinking.
Upper Primary
Subject teaching begins from this stage. Teachers conduct Class tests, group exercises and homework/project work which help boosts the children’s self-confidence, their team playing spirit and also prepare them for both internal and external examinations
Junior High
The JHS is equipped with science and ICT laboratories, home science and practical room. Students at this level are challenged through a rich curriculum and co-curricular programs. Experiments, research and project works are an integral part of the curriculum which boosts their intellectual capacity. Our graduates leave GHS to attend some of the very best senior high schools and universities both locally and globally
